What you can do with gold bullion
Several years ago I inherited some gold bullion bars which I put in my safe and didnt really think about them too much. I intended to sell them later or use them in any other way, but didnt have any specific ideas. I am an artist: a painter, a sculpture. One day a friend of mine put an idea into my head. Why not melt the gold down and create some original jewellery? I immediately liked this idea. I had been taking part in art and craft fair in our city for years and had met many successful jewellery makers. And so I paid for melting the gold bullion down. The outcome was really interesting: I managed to create some necklaces, bracelets, earrings and pendants. I also used some precious stones like amethysts, agates and malachites to add some colour to my work. And as usual, I took part in the yearly fair. I sold lots of items and people were asking for a catalogue or a website address where they would be able see all my products. I thought that was a great idea, and designed my website within two weeks. I also had a catalogue printed. Now my products include not only jewellery but also pens, ornaments and lampshades decorated with gold bullion. I own my success to the fact that I am not afraid of taking risk, but of course if it hadnt been for that friend of mine, I would have never thought of turning gold bars into beautiful jewellery.
